John first went to Sierra Leone in 2016 to serve at Sierra Leone International Mission School and has served on the board since 2021. Serving more than 5K+ students, SLIMS provides education, mentoring, and medical services in Sierra Leone's capital.

It was on a trip to Sierra Leone this April that we got engaged, making SLIMS a key part our story.

Janay first went to Rio Viejo in northeastern Honduras in 2011 to serve alongside her mother at the Jungle Hospital run by Martin and Wendy Williams, who started the program in 2007. Janay has been on 9 trips and counts Martin and Wendy as her "Honduran Parents."

This hospital serves families in 34 surrounding villages, bringing sustainable health care and crucial services to the Cangrejal River Cove.

Your gifts will support the construction of a new children's feeding center that will provide vital nutrition and public health services to children in the region.

In 2011, Janay began working with Lazarus, an Atlanta homeless ministry committed to being present with the marginalized and restoring dignity within the context of relationship.

She joined the board in 2020, and early in the dating stage, John joined her as a volunteer. Your gifts will support ongoing outreach events with Lazarus such as the annual health day, where healthcare providers offer free screenings and acute care services for hundreds of our neighbors facing homelessness.
